- el Codice della Strada no prohibe ni autoriza el campeggio: en el art. 185 c. 2 solo dice cuando la sosta de una autocaravana deja de ser sosta y pasa a considerarse «campeggio, attendamento e simili»
- los tres criterios son ACUMULATIVOS y han de cumplirse a la vez para que no haya campeggio: que el vehiculo no se apoye en el suelo salvo con las ruedas, que no emita flujos propios salvo los del motor, y que no ocupe la calzada mas alla de su propio volumen
- la propia norma condiciona su supuesto a «dove consentita» (donde la parada este permitida) y remite a los divieti e limitazioni de los articulos 6 y 7 del Codice, que son los que dictan el ente propietario de la via y el ayuntamiento
- una vez que el supuesto es campeggio, el Codice della Strada deja de decir nada: la respuesta la dan la ley regional de turismo y la ordenanza municipal, que difieren entre regiones y entre comunes
- el articulo habla de las auto-caravan del art. 54 c. 1 letra m); las caravanas remolcadas y las furgonetas camperizadas no estan nombradas en el mismo supuesto
